A True One-Off Titanium Slider. Never to Be Made Again.

Yes, I know, Halloween is still nearly two weeks away (but there is an important reason to launch this now that I'll explain below...).

 

As a Halloween Special, I wanted to push the limits of what we can physically manufacture. The result is The Skelly Web - an ultra-intricate, skeletonized slider that breaks my rules of how I typically machine.

 

This isn’t just a seasonal colorway or a new pattern. This is a true, one-off limited edition release. Once the 48-hour pre-order window closes, the files go into the vault, and the Skelly Web will never be produced again (I am 100% serious about this - not joking around here).

Why It’s Titanium Only: The 3D-Sintered Difference

You might be wondering why the Skelly Web is only being offered in Titanium, with no brass, copper, or zirconium body options.

 

The answer comes down to pure geometry. Because of the extreme intricacy of the spiderweb cutouts and the tight, sharp angles of the skeletonized holes, there is no way to machine this from a solid block of metal on a standard CNC mill. The cutters simply can’t make those shapes.

 

To bring this design to life, the blanks have to be 3D metal printed (DMLS / 3D Sintered) in Titanium before we finish-machine and hand-tune them in the shop. It is a costly, complex, and logistically heavy process, which is why we can only do it in Titanium - and why we are only doing this run once. It requires special CNC fixturing because the alignment and initial machining passes are absolutely critical.

 

Oh, and in case you're wondering...

 

Yes, 3D Sintered Grade 5 Titanium is exactly the same as regular Grade 5 Titanium. Looks the same, feels the same, weighs the same, machines the same, finishes the same - instead of "hot rolled" or "cold rolled"... it's melted into form with a laser. The end result is exactly the same.

Four Exclusive Configurations

While the 3D-sintered bodies are strictly Titanium, you can customize the look and feel of your slider with two distinct body finishes and two Skelly plate variants.

Why A Pre-Order?

Two reasons...

 

#1 - I have to invest (i.e. spend a decent chunk of money) in having the blanks 3D Titanium Sintered specifically for this Skelly Web Slider because there is absolutely no other way to have it made.

 

#2 - I get emails every day to do a pre-order (typically from people who keep missing ever-popular drops).... so, for once, I thought I would budge a bit on my usual stance and offer one. This felt like the perfect opportunity.

Because each titanium blank must be custom 3D-sintered to order before we can machine and finish them in-house, the Skelly Web is being offered as a strict 48-hour pre-order.

Estimated Shipping: Second week of December.

 

3D metal sintering involves longer lead times and more logistics than our standard in-house CNC runs. Setting delivery for the second week of December gives us the buffer needed to ensure every single piece is sintered, finished, and tuned to perfection without cutting corners - and ensures your slider is on its way to you before the holidays.
