Hand The SkellyHex™ To A Fellow Fidget-Lover And Time How Long Before They Give It Back.
(Spoiler: They Won't.)

(Warning: Once you feel this one, every other slider in your collection is going to feel like a cheap imitation. Don't say I didn't warn you.)

Dear Fellow Fidget Addict,

What makes one fidget slider feel like a $9 toy... and another feel like something you'll still be carrying in ten years?

It's not the price tag. It's not even the material. It's a hundred tiny decisions most makers never bother to get right — wall thickness, weight distribution, the exact firmness of each click.

Get even one of them wrong and the whole thing falls flat. The Skelly Hex is what happens when someone refuses to get a single one of them wrong.

First — What Even IS The "SkellyHex™"?

If you're new around here, "Skelly" is my shorthand for skeletonized — where I cut material away from the body until what's left is the bare, beautiful structure. No fat. No filler. Just the essential bones of the design.

The "Hex" part is exactly what it sounds like — a precise honeycomb of hexagonal pockets machined clean through the body.

And here's the thing most people don't realize until they hold one:

Skeletonizing isn't just about looks. It's about feel.

When you remove that material, you're not just making the slider lighter — you're completely changing how the weight is distributed. You're changing the balance. You're changing the way it pivots in your fingers and the way the momentum carries through each click.

The hex pattern you're looking at took me an embarrassing number of iterations to nail down. I'm not exaggerating for marketing — I genuinely lost count. Wall too thin. Pocket too deep. Pattern too busy. Version after version after version... until one afternoon I picked one up ...and just went, "...oh. There it is." That's the one you're looking at right now.

The "3-Click" That Started An Obsession

If you already own one of my sliders, you know about the click.

If you don't — let me explain what all the fuss is about.

This is a 2 x 4 magnet layout giving you a true 3-click slide. Three crisp, deliberate, deeply satisfying clicks as the plate travels from one end to the other.

Not a vague mushy drag. Not a snappy-but-harsh slam. A clean click... click... click that somehow scratches an itch in your brain you didn't even know you had.

I use 6mm x 2mm N42 magnets in this one — and that's a deliberate choice, not an accident. After years of feedback from thousands of customers ...I've found it to be the "sweet spot".

The vast majority of people who fidget all day — at their desk, in meetings, watching TV, calming the nerves before a flight — want a slide that's effortless but precise. Easy enough to do one-handed, a thousand times, without fatigue... yet still firm enough that every single click means something.

That's the balance I tuned this magnet layout for. And it's why people who try one rarely go back.

About That Material...

This particular SkellyHex™ is machined from Zirconium.

Now, I could make every slider out of plain titanium and most people would be perfectly happy. But Zirconium is different — and if you've never owned a Zirc piece, you're in for a treat.

It's denser and, when heat-treated correctly, attains a deep black that titanium just can't replicate — and in the hand it feels premium in a way that's genuinely hard to describe until you're holding it.

Not only that, but...

The wear plates on the  SkellyHex™ are also made from Zirconium. The heat-treated black finish in Zirconium is not just amazing aesthetics ...it's actually VERY hard-wearing as well as being VERY low-friction to boot! The result are sliding plates that actually deliver that click I've been going on about.

Here Are The Hard Numbers (For The Spec Nerds — I See You, I Am One Of You):

Design: SkellyHex™

Material: Zirconium

Finish: Machined (Black)

Weight: 43 grams

Thickness: 12 mm
Length: 48 mm
Width: 30 mm

Wear Plates: Zirconium (E48 "Hex" Style)

Screws: Titanium (Dark Matter)

Magnet Layout: 2 x 4 (3-click)

Magnet Size and Strength: 6mm x 2mm (N42)

That 43-gram weight is the sweet spot for a slider this size.Light enough to flick around endlessly without your hand gettingtired... heavy enough that it carries real momentum through every clickand feels like the serious piece of engineering it is.

Now — Let Me Tell You Who This Is NOT For.

If you want a $9 slider off some giant marketplace that arrives in a crushed bag, feels like a toy, and gets shoved in a drawer within a week...

...I'm genuinely not your guy. Go save your money. No hard feelings.

The  SkellyHex™ is for the person who's a bit like me. The person who'd rather own one thing that's properly, obsessively, no-compromise made — than ten things that are merely "fine."

The person who notices the difference between something engineered and something assembled.

The person who, when they hand this to a friend, watches that friend go quiet for a second... start clicking... and not give it back. (That happens a lot, by the way. Buy a spare. I'm only half joking.)

My Promise To You

I make every one of these myself, here in New Zealand. My name is on it. My reputation is in it.

I hold these to impossibly high standards — and occasionally, despite my best efforts, something imperfect sneaks past me. If that ever happens to you, you tell me, and I make it right. Immediately. That's not a "policy" buried in fine print — that's just how I do business, and how I'd want to be treated myself.

Every order ships with 3–5 Day Worldwide Express Shipping, and this one will ship within within 24 hours (unless it's the weekend).

One Last Thing — And It's Important

Here's the catch with everything I make.

I don't mass-produce. I can't — we're a small machine shop, with a few machinists, and an obsessive streak that won't let us rush. Which means when the SkellyHex™ sells out - it's gone for a little while (but I almost certainly will make more).

So if you're feeling that little pull — that "man, I kind of want that" feeling in your gut right now — I'd trust it.

Because the people who hesitate on my drops are the same people who email me a week later asking when it's coming back.

Grab yours below while it's still showing "ORDER NOW" and not "SOLD OUT."

To impossibly high standards,
Magnus

P.S. — Remember what I said about handing it to a friend. The  SkellyHex™ has a strange habit of not coming back. If there's even one fidget-lover in your life, do yourself a favour and grab two. Future-you (the one who isn't fighting to get their own slider back) will thank me.
