A Quick Thing About... Sliders In Stock And Production
I've been receiving a lot of emails, messages and comments in the last two days about missing out on sliders.
To be flat-out honest...
I don't really have a solution for your - BUT, I can explain exactly how this unfolds (pretty much always).
First up, I never artificially limit supply ...never. Here's a list of some reasons why it can feel like that though:
-- A new design will always have slow production at first because we always only have one CNC fixture on which to make it in the machine (no point making multiple fixtures if it's very unpopular and we don't continue with it)
-- I have always found it hard to keep enough raw materials in stock (Titanium, Zirconium, etc.). This is purely a business cashflow thing. So we end up being limited in what we can make (For example: we may only have, say, some thin Titanium on hand ...and can only make thinner sliders for a while). We are starting to build up stock of raw material slowly though.
-- Every so often we will have a CNC machine go down for whatever reason (mechanical issue, something breaks, etc.) - and we REALLY feel it in terms of production.

How It (Pretty Much) Always Plays Out...
If something sells well initially, then I make more.
If it keeps selling well, then I will make even more.
If it stops selling well, then I will reduce -- or just stop -- making it.
The above is really as complex as it gets for me.
So what typically happens is there is a lot of demand for a NEW design ...in the beginning (because that's when everyone first sees it and wants it!).
BUT, this is the exact time we have the lowest production. I will increase production as long as it keeps selling (but it takes time because I have to make new CNC fixtures).
Long story short:
If you keep missing out, then either keep trying ...or give it time (because more will be coming).
BIG DROP: Micro Magic Beans
As I mentioned in yesterday's blog post - I'm going to drop a decent amount of Micro Magic Beans.
I've put a countdown timer on the front page (linking to the specific page they will be dropping on):

Also, as a behind-the-scenes-how-we-do-things ...here's a photo of how we hold the Micro Magic Beans for anodizing:

Exotics Are On Fire
Even if I say so myself ...the Exotic Sliders we've been making this week have really been something special.
Here's the kind of thing I'm talking about:

Any thought’s on making a clover with Zirc plates?
Hi Magnus and Team,
Firstly – congratulations on cornering the market for producing the best fidgets in the world! I own two of your sliders and a pair of stainless atoms and they are incredibly well made and worth every penny/cent!
I do sympathise with others, like myself, who miss out on drops of your latest sales of products – in my case it is because of time zones ( I am in the UK) so this us unavoidable and so I accept this simple fact. I can tell however that you are able to measure demand by clicking on the “ if you missed this “ button which is genius!- In my case I was contacted directly when my item was avoidable. So I never panic and try to be patient – I have confidence in your system which has worked for me.
I actually quite look forward to the drops of products to see what you are producing. FYI I hope you might be producing sone “ Hogs” soon and wonder if you will be producing some mini copper atoms in the future?
Keep up the great work
Regards
Mike
Hi are there going to be any drops apart from the vault that will be UK time friendly, getting fed up of waking up in the morning to a email of a drop at 3/4am every day and everything I want sold out. Thanks
