As I type this...
It is the final day of 2025 here in New Zealand (there are a few of us working today... running machines and assembling sliders :-P).
I plan to do another Blog Post this week where I would like to talk about the upcoming year... plans, direction, thoughts, and so on.
But for today it's a general update on a range of stuff - let's get into it:
Exotic Material
I've had a couple of bars of 30mm SuperConductor material for a long time - but I just received the material below:

As you can see... the material is BIG. Honestly, I'm pretty excited to figure out how best to make Exotic Sliders from this material.
I know the size of the material I was ordering (3" diameter) - I just didn't think it would feel and look this big in real life. Some wild sliders coming ...once I figure out how to work with these bars! :-)
"The Foundry" (Update)

In the last blog post I talked about The Foundry programme.
There was a post -- and some comments -- in the Magnus Facebook group that thought it was "weird" and "suspect".
I can understand if people are not too familiar with business how it might come across - but the people who do understood are ultimately who I was trying to reach out to (a couple of people who applied are in the area of finance already and three others have invested in pretty much exactly this kind of thing before in similar small businesses).
Regardless, there was more interest that I am actually able to accept. And, of course, I am still at the research and getting professional advice on how it can work stage.
5-Axis CNC Machining
One of our machines -- the 5-axis -- has been down for a few weeks.
It took a week to pin-point the exact problem...
...then another week to figure out the best solution to it
...then another week to realize we were on a wild goose chase and it was actually a different problem (this is what can happen when it comes to electronics!)
...three more days to find the REAL problem (an old, broken cable)
...and finally two weeks for a new cable to arrive.
But FINALLY... we have it back up and running and this is the first Pebble Dimple off the machine:
Less Stock (At This Time Of Year)
As you may have noticed...
We've been a bit quiet for the last 1 to 2 weeks. This is because our Christmas Holidays here in New Zealand are also our Summer holidays - so things wind-down a lot more than Christmas typically does in the Northern Hemisphere.
In saying that, we've had a few people in for the last three days and managed to get a bunch of sliders assembled (and will be going up on the website). The next week will be a bit quieter again - and then we'll be ready to attack 2026 after that! :-D
